You don’t have to stay there

🎧 “Free”

I didn’t write this for me tonight.

I wrote this for you.

Because I see it.

Even when you try to laugh it off…even when you say, “it’s not that bad”…even when you defend him like it’s your job.

I see the way your energy drops when his name comes up.The way you hesitate before answering simple questions. The way you shrink just a little… like you’re trying not to take up too much space.

That’s not love.

And I need you to hear me when I say that.

You keep telling me you just need patience.

More understanding.More communication.More time.

But how much more of yourself are you planning to give away before you realize…

he’s not building you…he’s draining you.

I’ve been there.

Loving someone who made me question my worth in quiet ways.Ways nobody else could see.

So I stayed longer than I should have.Explained things I didn’t need to explain.Fought for something that wasn’t fighting for me.

And I called it love.

It’s not love if you feel tired all the time.

It’s not love if you have to beg for peace.

It’s not love if you’re slowly disappearing just to keep it.

Listen to me…

You don’t have to stay there.

You don’t have to keep choosing someone who makes you feel like you’re hard to love.

You don’t have to keep proving your worth to someone who benefits from you doubting it.

You can leave.

You can choose yourself.

You can wake up one day and decide that your peace matters more than your history with him.

And I know you’re scared.

Because walking away feels like losing something.

But staying?

That’s where you lose yourself.

Free yourself.

Not loudly.Not for show.

But in the quiet, powerful way women do when they finally decide…

“I deserve better than this.”

And when you do?

I promise you…

you won’t miss what you thought you couldn’t live without.

You’ll finally meet the version of you that was waiting on the other side of that door.
